Artist Statement

In my work, I explore the subject of politics in relation to the human body and intimacy. In layman’s terms, my work is driven by sexual assault prevention/awareness as well as femininity and other politics regarding women. Regarding mediums, I have an affinity for alternative materials and found objects. Through the use of multimedia, my work analyzes these tough subjects about women through everyday objects and materials. I aim to spark conversations amongst my viewers that may be uncomfortable to talk about, but necessary as all political discussions are. As a survivor myself, I use my work both as an outlet and as a way to send an important message that survivors are not alone and to make the general public aware of how pressing these issues are in our society.
